Visa requirements for United States citizens

Visa requirements for United States citizens are administrative entry restrictions by the authorities of other states that are imposed on citizens of the United States.

As of 2024, holders of a United States passport may travel to 188 countries and territories without a travel visa, or with a visa on arrival. The United States passport currently ranks[Note 1] 7th in terms of travel freedom, according to the Henley Passport Index.[1] It is also ranked 7th by the Global Passport Power Rank.[2]
