Category:Redirects from surnames

A redirect from a surname may be used in cases where Wikipedia has only one biographical article of a person by a certain surname, or where one individual is ubiquitously known by that surname (other persons sharing the same surname may be listed at a primary topic disambiguation page).

Please keep this in mind:
  1. Placing a redirect in this category is not an endorsement of that redirect.
  2. Many of these should probably be surname pages (listing other people with the surname), or at least disambiguation pages.
  3. If it points to what you feel is the wrong target, it's probably because it's the only possible target the previous editor had heard of.
  4. Topics to be listed on a disambiguation page created in place of a redirect may or may not be limited to human names. See Template:Disambiguation#Parameters.
