The Atlanta Fire Rescue Department provides fire protection and first responder emergency medical services to the city of Atlanta, Georgia.[2] The department is responsible for an area of 132.6 square miles (343 km2) with over 519,000 residents.[2] As of January 21, 2021, the Fire Chief is Rod Smith.[3]
