Brunch

Brunch is a meal,[1] sometimes accompanied by alcoholic drinks (typically champagne or a cocktail), taken sometime in the late morning or early afternoon – the universally accepted time is 10am-1pm.[2] The meal originated in the British hunt breakfast.[3] The word brunch is a portmanteau of breakfast and lunch.[4] The word originated in England in the late 19th century, and became popular in the United States in the 1930s.[5]
