Ford Memphis Assembly Plant
- Remains of original building (old architecture) built in 1924, closed 1958. demolished in 2012. 1429 Riverside Blvd, Memphis TN, Near S.Parkway & I-55. "In 1924, the Ford Motor Company moved their Memphis assembly plant to a new facility at the end of South Parkway just east of the Mississippi River. Ford had originally opened their Memphis assembly plant in Midtown in 1913. There, before Henry Ford's assembly line structure had even been perfected, workers made wooden wheels and the wooden body foundations, which were fastened to the chassis of Model T's.
