A beautiful state park right by a stream, a little bit outside of Nashville. There had been heavy rains and flooding the day before in the area so a lot of the hiking trails were soggy and muddy, but they were still beautiful. A few of the campsites were really wet, but ours wasn't.

Lower traffic and better soil composition keeps MBSP open and in better shape than other trails in the area, particularly during the wet winter and early spring seasons.

In honor of Earth Day, Montgomery Bell State Park will be cleaning out our largest surface spring, Hall Springs. We will be removing leaf litter, sediment, cleaning rock surfaces and installing two benches.
