Four Creeks State Forest is located between Callahan and Yulee, Florida, on approximately 13,106 acres in Nassau County. The property was acquired jointly by the St. Johns River Water Management District and Florida Forever Program's Northeast Florida Timberlands and Watershed Reserve Project.

Four Creeks State Forest is against the Nassau-Duval County line about 4 miles east of Callahan, just north of Jacksonville. The north boundary of the forest runs partly along State Roads 200 and A1A, the south boundary partly along Thomas Creek. The management office of the forest is in Hilliard, about 15 miles north of Callahan via US Highway 1.

We got in the water shortly before 11am from at the Boggy Creek Landing. The dirt road in had many puddles likely from the heavy rains lately. The creek current was very easy and generally clear. There were a few fallen trees but nothing that we couldn't maneuver until we got to the spot where we turned around . That end started to become more cluttered with limbs and the creek narrowed.

Meet at the Winn-Dixie parking lot in Callahan in front of The Pig Bar-B-Q, where we might eat after the ride. The first and last 2 miles are paved, otherwise dirt roads and vehicle trails.

Four Mile Creek State Park is a very well run, and clean campground. Spent a long weekend here and had a really nice stay. As only electric is available at the sites we used the shower facilities a couple of days (A first for us) and weren't disappointed. The showers could use more hooks for hanging clothes/towels but were fine otherwise.
