The Dixie Greyhound Lines (called also Dixie or DGL ), a highway-coach carrier, was a Greyhound regional operating company, based in Memphis, Tennessee, USA, from 1930 until 1954, when it (along with the Teche Greyhound Lines) became merged into the Southeastern Greyhound Lines, a neighboring operating company.

The Dixie Greyhound Bus Lines Complex was placed on the National Register on Nov. 21, 2003. History: Business magnate Frederick Smith Sr., father of Federal Express founder Fred Smith, established a Memphis-based national office for the Dixie Greyhound and Toddle House corporate offices. The Dixie Greyhound Bus Lines Complex was the centerpiece of two highly successful business ventures by Smith.

For me in the 1940s the concept of "Greyhound Lines" was the Southeastern Greyhound Lines (called also Southeastern, SEG, SEG Lines, or SEGL), the larger of the two Greyhound regional operating companies in Nashville, Tennessee, my hometown.
