This is a list of IMAX venues which feature either IMAX with Laser 4K projectors and/or 15/70 mm film projectors. Not included are theatres with solely 2K resolution digital xenon projectors. IMAX with Laser locations use one of four types of 4K projector: GT Laser: Dual projector system capable of up to 1.43:1 aspect ratio. CoLa: Single projector, limited to 1.90:1 aspect ratio. XT: Single projector, limited to 1.90:1 aspect ratio. Dome Laser: Single projector. Used in dome theatres.Traditional 15/70 mm IMAX locations use 70 mm film projectors, with the film running through the projector(s) horizontally, each frame being 15 perforations wide. 3D presentations are shown using two projectors and either linear polarized or LCD shutter glasses. These locations are capable of displaying aspect ratios of up to 1.43:1. IMAX 15/70 mm locations use one of five types of film projectors: GT: IMAX 15/70 mm 2D film projector. GT3D: IMAX 15/70 mm 3D film projector, dual rotor. SR: IMAX 15/70 mm 3D film projector, small rotor. GT Dome: IMAX 15/70 mm 2D dome film projector. SR Dome: IMAX 15/70 mm 2D dome film projector, small rotor. Some theatres with legacy 1.43:1 screens have single laser projectors or digital projectors; these installations are restricted to projecting at a maximum of 1.90:1. Dome theatres may indicate one or two screen sizes. The first (or only) number indicates the screen diameter. The second number (if present) indicates the screen surface width.
